Come si possono combinare lettere scritte a mano spontaneamente e espressivamente, con quelle fisse, affidabili e statiche stampate con una macchina, per creare un lavoro artistico, commerciale o sperimentale?

Questo corso è mirato a calligrafi che desiderano approfondire le conoscenze sulla varietà delle lettere stampate e grafici onde poter espandere la loro conoscenza della lettera scritta a mano. Si studieranno le lettere scritte sia liberamente sia formalmente dalla prospettiva dal punto di vista di come si integrano con tutte le forme di lettere stampate, sia un testo generato con il computer sia lettere ritagliate in piombo e legno. Il docente troverà i punti deboli e forti di ogni partecipante e lo guiderà a cercare il massimo. Si suggerisce qualche esperienza calligrafica.

Sono in programma anche visite guidate a biblioteche con fondi antichi e altri punti di interesse nella affascinante città della Serenissima.

Jovica Veljovic è un maestro calligrafo ed esperto grafico con oltre 30 anni di esperienza. Ora insegna a Hamburg in Germania, dove vive con la moglie e i figli.

How can one relate spontaneous, expressive hand written letters with stable, reliable and static machine printed letters in order to create an artistic, commercial or experimental work?

 This course is intended for calligraphers who wish to know more about the variety of printed letters and graphic artists who want to expand their knowledge of the written word. Freely written letters to formal calligraphy will be studied from the perspective of how they relate to all forms of the printed word, from computer generated text to individually hand printed letters using wood blocks. The docent will point out each person’s weaknesses and strengths and guide him or her to work their best. Some calligraphy experience is useful.

Guided visits are also planned to libraries holding ancient collections of manuscripts and other points of interest in this fascinating city of the Serenissima.

Jovica Veljovic is a master calligrapher and expert graphic artist with more than 30 years of experience. He now works in Hamburg, Germany where he lives with his wife and two children.
