Course Description:  Screen printing has commonly been used as a graphic art form for printing posters and t shirts, but is also an important medium for artists. Screen printing is valued for its straightforward process, its creation of large editions, the variety of materials it can print onto, and for its integration of hand-drawn, photographic and digital images.
Screen printing intensive workshop focuses on exploration of artistic expression through water-based screen printing techniques from planning to presentation.Drawing, color, design and creative problem solving will be integral to class projects. This workshop will require personal investment and exploration, and the inventive use of images, materials and forms.

Ece Iyigun Pittarello is a young Turkish artist and designer living in Italy. She graduated from Yeditepe University of Istanbul and Parsons School of Design of New York in Visual Arts and Graphic Design respectively. She worked in Turkey and in the USA as a free-lance designer and in several design studios for brands like Gitzo, Damiani, Peggy Guggenheim Museum, Fiera di Vicenza, HBO and many more. She collaborates with the Scuola as a teaching assistant for international students and as responsible of the serigraphy print shop.
