Academic Year
Painting, Graphic Design, Printmaking, Art History, and Italian
The Venice Program at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica is intended for undergraduate and graduate students, independent artists, and students of continuing education. Enrollment is open to students of all nationalities, sex, and race. Courses are taught both in English and Italian. Semester students take part to a final exhibition. Also, every Academic Year the Scuola organizes a show of all students and faculty and prints a catalog of their work. The Scuola’s courses are attended by students of Italian and foreign schools. The aim of this exchange is to offer international and Italian art students the chance of meeting, interacting and working together. Unlike most studio programs in Italy, the Scuola encourages its students towards a full integration in the daily life of Italian culture.
he Scuola is unique in offering its residents the opportunity to interact with the community of students and resident artists as well as with our international faculty. The gallery’s intense schedule provides our community with opportunities to meet Italian and foreign artists at openings and critiques. Regular workshops from visiting faculty and artists also create a challenging and stimulating work environment.
International Graduate and undergraduate students wishing to enroll in the complete program (Independent Studies in English) should apply as International Independent Students.
