Palazzo Dandolo on the Grand Canal

The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica offers the unique opportunity to live and work in a Venetian Palazzo on the Grand Canal for periods ranging from two to eight weeks.

Palazzo Dandolo Paolucci is a Renaissance palace overlooking the Grand Canal. A rennovation was made in the 17th century on the site of a previous Gothic building of the 14th century and was remodeled in later periods. A large terrace with a balustrade was added on top in 1924. Palazzo Dandolo belonged to the Paolucci family in the 18th century and, from the early 19th century, to the Parisi family.

Since 2013, the Palazzo has hosted important exhibitions during the Venice Biennale.

The Artist’s House, Murano

Our resident artists may live in the Artists’ House, a cozy house with private entrance in the center of the Murano Island. The Artist’s house is very close to the water-bus stop, from where the Scuola can be reached with a 15 minutes commute. The Island of Murano is conveniently located on the route to the airport and connected 24 hours to Venice.

The Artists House Murano features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms + 1 shower, sitting room with canal view, kicthen/diner that opens on a sunny terrace plus a laundry room.

The house, which was probably built by the end of the 18th century, is made with organic materials and in respect of the ancient features. Materials used are lime, coccio-pesto, lime-based fillers and natural treatments such as linseed oil, lime water, waxes of hooks and carnauba.
