“Objects, I think carry more than just a physical presence. When represented, an object holds it’s past ancestry, which changes when it is drawn. There are so many ways of etching a surface, many changes and ‘pentimentos’ can occur. When observed a tree can be designed in a multitude of ways; I have an image of a tree already in my mind, from what I have seen on my travels and from photographs. In little pieces, each part observed from this world around me, I find enlightenment; there in each fragment or memory resides my work.”
