Founded in 1969, the Scuola is an international institution located in the heart of historic Venice.
Throughout the years, the Scuola has welcomed artists and students from all over the world and has established affiliations and engaged in collaborative projects with international universities, museums, guilds, biennales.
Printmaking & Book-arts
Venice Artist Residency
Throughout the year, the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica di Venezia offers 1 to 12 week Studio Residencies to professional and practicing artists. Work projects are in Printmaking, Book-Arts, Drawing & Painting, Illustration and Calligraphy. Resident artists have access to the Scuola’s studios 7 days a week. The Scuola is located in the heart of Venice and is equipped for most printmaking methods, including lithography, letterpress, intaglio, and less-toxic processes.
Venice Educational Art Workshops
Study Abroad in Venice & Educational Workshops for School Groups
Our educational intensive workshops are offered to groups of students who are visiting Venice with their professors.
These 60 minutes to 3-hour demonstrations and hands-on workshops focus on the history of the printed image and the printed text.
Study Abroad Programs
The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica is affiliated with many Italian and international institutions. We have hosted innumerable semester, as well as Summer intensive programs. Study Abroad students are offered the unique opportunity to work side by side with Italian students and resident artists from all over the world, in an environment that is both multi-cultural and multi-generational.
