Making Art in Venice

Venice is celebrated for its unique cultural heritage and contemporary vibrancy—home to world-class museumschurches exhibitions→ and biennales→

But while the city offers countless opportunities to admire art, the Scuola is the only institution in Venice where artists and art lovers alike are able to make art.

Our studios are open, inclusive spaces where creativity is practiced daily, and where the experience of art goes beyond observation to become lived, shared, and produced.

Creative Hub

The Scuola is an intergenerational and international creative hub.

We host artists-in-residence→ from around the world, welcome students from renowned art schools, and collaborate with local primary and middle schools to introduce younger generations to artistic practice.

Our exhibitions→ support the Scuola’s core focus areas—printmaking, graphic design, and the artist’s book—offering a platform where tradition meets experimentation, and where diverse perspectives come together in a shared creative space.

Health and Environment

The Scuola is committed to sustainability and the well-being of its community.

Over the years, we have replaced hazardous materials with safer alternatives→ that reduce environmental impact and protect human health.

For us, sustainability in printmaking goes beyond eliminating toxic substances—it includes conservation, reuse, and recycling practices that we believe should guide the creative process and extend beyond the studio.
