Since 1969 the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica has introduced generations of Italian and international students to the art of printmaking and the artists’ book. Today, we are proud to present a 4-hour intensive hands-on workshop dedicated to groups of college or high school students who are visiting Venice with their professors. Printmaking and the Printing Press played a fundamental role in the history of Venice and the European Renaissance. This intensive workshop offers the unique opportunity of working in an authentic Venetian printshop, where innovative and eco-sustainable methods are practiced on tradtional presses.
Each student will print an individual work. The complete body of prints created in the workshop will be assembled into an accordion book, to make an inspiring ‘memento’ of the Venetian trip. Tuition is in English. Our instructors are established artists who have taught graduate and undergraduate students from overseas institutions, including Boston University, Indiana University, the University of Iowa and many others.
• Registration Fees: €200.00
• Balance Fees €400.00 – to be paid 15 days before the workshop date
• The maximum number of students admitted is 15, accompanied by one ot two teachers
• The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica provides all the materials and tools needed for the Workshop
