Creative One-Afternoon Art-Workshops

The equipped studios of the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica host a series of three-hour afternoon workshops designed for those who are visiting Venice and, among visits to churches, galleries, exhibitions and museums, want to engage in an afternoon of creativity and craftmanship, to give shape to the innumerable inspirations that this city -so rich in art and culture- offers us.

These three-hour creative workshops will allow participants to immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of an authentic print-workshop. Here they will find ancient presses, precious papers, inks and copper plates. With our hands on teaching methods, our students will create their own art-work: an etching, or a hand-bound travel album, or a precious postcard printed with movable type, depending on of the theme of the workshops they will attend.

Scuola Internazionale di Grafica

The Scuola is an institution known and appreciated by many Venetians (and not only!). Here, since 1969, they have attended courses in engraving techniques, calligraphy, painting and drawing, artist’s book and binding and numerous other artistic disciplines.
Center of art and design established in Italy and abroad, the Scuola is a creative hub. Generations of artists, students and art-lovers from around the world have studied, worked and visited. Taking part in our activities is always a new and stimulating experience, not only for the level of the programs and our faculty, but also for the opportunity to always meet different people, of all ages, backgrounds and cultures.

Getting to the Scuola

We are in Venice in the Cannaregio district, a few steps from the Strada Nova and the Venezia Santa Lucia train station.

The nearest water-bus stop is San Marcuola – Casino: it is reached by lines 1 and 2. The school is a three-minute walk from the bus stop.

Our premises and studios are accessible by students with disabilities.
